CLASS to Launch The Democracy Institute and GIFT Project, Expanding Global Justice and Civic Leadership Programs
CLASS will be launching and its award-winning GIFT Project (Global Inquiries in Freedom and Tyranny) in Fall 2024 with 10 CLASS faculty, including Ahimsa Center affiliates, offering the GIFT flagship seminar on The Faces of Freedom. The work of the Institute is made possible by The Teagle Foundation's Cornerstone Award given to Ahimsa Center Director Dr. Aishwary Kumar’s blueprint for Democratic Visions: The American Institutions Common Core. The project marks the beginning of the new degree pathway in Global Justice and the establishment of the Liberal Strategies Leadership Initiative at Cal Poly Pomona.
