Sacha's Journey
I was heavily involved in the clubs and the Collins College community which led me to a lot of volunteer roles and my internship at LA Tourism. Since then, I have worked at UCLA, Irvine Company, Universal Studios and my current role at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Through networking and hard work, I was able to secure every promotion and job through my connections.

In the Spotlight
First and foremost, Collins College is a community. The faculty is engaged and invested in the success of the student population and use their personal experiences and connections to help you through. One of the many examples of this was when Dr. Helen Gavin took the time to help me draft a letter and connect me with the CEO of LA Tourism, which led to the launch of my career. The hands-on experience that the classes and clubs provided me were priceless in helping me decide on the career path for my future. I was able to have a glimpse of the different sectors of the industry with the opportunities that were provided. Finally, the community of students created a network of colleagues that would help me grow my career for years to come.

There is always something new to learn, see and do, so it keeps your day-to-day exciting.
