From personalized coaching to powerhouse employer events, The Collins College of Hospitality Management is setting the bar for career readiness at Cal Poly Pomona. The newly released 2024–25 Career Services Report showcases a year of record-breaking student engagement, innovative pilot programs and strategic industry connections that support students from their first handshake to their first hire.
The numbers speak volumes: more than 2,300 career touchpoints, a 91% activation rate on Handshake and a campus-leading engagement rate across all career technology platforms. Through exclusive employer days, classroom-integrated workshops and a new Career Markers milestone program, students gained practical tools and professional insight across every stage of their academic journey.
The college’s signature event, the Hospitality Career Expo, drew 43 industry employers and saw a 24% increase in student attendance. Post-event follow-ups, employer feedback sessions and targeted career assignments helped ensure students left with more than just a polished résumé—they left with real opportunity.
