David Hamano

Vice President of Shared Services, Universal Studios Hollywood

Portrait of David Hamano David currently serves as the Vice President of Shared Services for the Revenue Operations department at Universal Studios Hollywood. In this capacity, he is responsible for short- and long-term strategic planning, leading IT and capital projects, overseeing shared services support operations, and developing revenue growth strategies for the various food and beverage outlets across the Universal Studios Hollywood Resort. 

Previously, David held the role of Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations at Universal Studios Hollywood and was Director of Food & Beverage for both Universal Studios Japan and Singapore. He spent over five years in Singapore as Vice President of Food & Beverage at Resorts World Sentosa, where his responsibilities included developing and managing Michelin Star-awarded and celebrity chef restaurants, as well as overseeing F&B operations for two theme parks, four hotels, and one of Southeast Asia’s largest casinos. Additionally, David contributed to the development and opening of Universal Studios Japan while residing in Osaka, Japan. 

Before joining Universal Studios and Resorts World, David managed West Coast operations as Director of Design/Regional Manager for Cini-Little International, Inc., a premier hospitality business and design consulting firm. His portfolio included major clients such as MGM Mirage Group, Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Hilton, Shangri-La Group, Starbucks, The Getty Center, and numerous other prominent food and beverage companies. 

David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from California State University, Pomona, and an MBA with a focus on international business from California State University, Los Angeles. He previously served on the advisory boards for Le Cordon Bleu Pasadena campus and The International Hotel & Tourism School of Singapore. David is also a member of the California Restaurant Association and the International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions.
