The College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE) held its all-college meeting on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Building 1, which was attended by all staff from 8-11.30am. During the meeting, interim dean Larisa Preiser-Houy highlighted some of the college’s accomplishments and underscored its role in advancing Cal Poly Pomona’s mission of innovation, access, and global engagement.
During the meeting, each division of CPGE looked back on the previous year’s accomplishments, as well as outlining key priorities for the year. This includes enhancing student success initiatives, strengthening international partnerships, expanding professional development programs, and broadening the college’s marketing and branding initiatives. Leadership emphasized CPGE’s growing contributions through specialized academic offerings, collaborative partnerships with academic colleges and departments across campus, and new opportunities that position the college at the forefront of lifelong learning.
With the announcement of WICE (Workforce Innovation and Career Engagement) and SELACO (Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board) partnerships focusing on workforce training, CPGE looks forward to a successful future, bringing in enrollment growth, digital transformation, and community impact.
