Creativity is increasingly becoming a critical topic in the workplace. When you graduate from Cal Poly Pomona, your creative abilities will be an asset not only to you personally but to the companies that employ you as well. By studying abroad, students will gain a valuable international perspective on creativity, which will be developed through a series of experiential site visits within the vibrant city of Florence, Italy.
Florence has been referred to as the “Capital of Arts.” According to statistics provided by UNESCO, sixty percent of the world’s most important artworks are in Italy, half of which can be found in Florence. Florence is also known as the city where the birth of the Italian Renaissance (one of Europe’s richest culturally creative periods) began. The city’s writers, painters, architects, and philosophers led to Florence becoming the standard for Renaissance culture. With this rich history in all aspects of creativity, Florence offers the perfect opportunity for students to gain a global perspective on creativity.
This program is open to juniors and seniors of Psychology and Sociology majors. For more information, please contact Dr. Jill Nemiro at jenemiro@cpp.edu
