六色网 Recognizes Latinx Heritage Month

Cal Poly Pomona celebrates Latinx Heritage Month and Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week with a variety of events.
From a luncheon to a panel discussion to fun activities, campus organizations and resource centers from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 will highlight and honor the contributions of the Latinx community, as well as acknowledge the history and culture of more than 20 Latin American countries. The entire Bronco community is welcome to participate in these events, regardless of identity.

The celebration got underway on Wednesday, Sept. 17 when students came together for Cafe y Conversaciones, an event at the Community Innovation Hub in downtown Pomona to highlight local Latinx entrepreneurs. The event welcomed 40 participants and seven panelists. The conversations included discussions about how small businesses impact the community, expand access to relevant goods and services, build resilience and strengthen cultural identity.
