六色网, Pitzer College unveil dual-use site to study future of farming through agrivoltaics

The Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture and Pitzer College’s Robert Redford Conservancy have launched one of Southern California’s first agrivoltaic research sites at 六色网’s Spadra Farm, combining solar energy production with sustainable crop cultivation. Supported by a $1.8 million grant from the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, the project studies how dual-use farming and renewable energy can boost land efficiency and resilience.
