2025 Summer Seminars

The weekly Summer Research Seminars will be held from 12 to 1 pm every Wednesday, beginning on June 18 through July 30, 2025. The seminar series will be interdisciplinary and provide an opportunity for Cal Poly Pomona students, faculty, and academic/industry guest speakers to share their research with the campus community and include students involved with research programs over the summer.

After the seminar series concludes, please join us August 7, 2025, for the 10th Annual Creative Activities & Research Symposium (CARS).

Dr. Sandra Emerson

Sandra Emerson is currently serving as a faculty fellow for the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) at ÁùÉ«Íø, Pomona. . She was the director for the Master’s in Public Administration program for the political science department from 2007 through 2015. In addition, Dr. Emerson has taught courses in public policy and public administration at ÁùÉ«Íø, the University of La Verne, and the University of Southern California (USC). She has held positions in this area of expertise with private and public sector organizations such as a program administrator for Medicare Part B, consultant with Southern California Edison, and budget and program analyst with the City of Norfolk, Virginia. She has a PhD and Masters degree in Public Administration from USC as well as a BA and MA from Temple University in political science.
