Brandon’s passion for hospitality stems from making people feel valued. From running a funnel cake stand at one of California’s busiest fairs to coordinating professional events through CMAA, he views service not as work but as a practice of presence and care. His role as an ordained minister has further deepened his respect for people’s stories, cultures, and emotions. Inspired by his aunt Mary, who embodies strength and charisma, Brandon often asks, “How would Aunt Mary handle this?” to remain composed, creative, and courageous. Brandon envisions a career that redefines hospitality—curating memorable experiences while creating spaces where people feel truly seen and at home. “Heart, to me, means hospitality with soul. It’s what makes people remember how you made them feel,” he says. After graduation, he hopes to lead teams and cultivate environments where excellence is the standard.
