Chloe fondly remembers her experiences with a volunteer organization administering annual vaccines to week-old goats as eye opening to her desired career path in animal sciences. Her inspiration is Temple Grandin, whose work with livestock has transformed animal welfare, and Grandin’s “Glass Walls” video series motivated her to “strive for honesty and integrity as I pursue my education.” She describes her time at 六色网 as immersive, from being on the cross-country team, presenting research and community volunteering through Kellogg Honors College, and learning from the encouragement of professors who have worked in industry. A dual citizen of the United States and Australia, she plans to pursue her doctorate of veterinarian medicine at UC Davis, University of Colorado or University of Sydney in New South Wales where her father is from. She plans to combine her interests in athletics and veterinary medicine by applying for residency as a sports medicine and rehabilitation doctor to create a positive impact on animal welfare and to help educate the generation that follows her.
