Daniel Lee’s path to medicine began during EMT training, where he discovered that understanding biology is essential in critical care. At Cal Poly Pomona, he has pursued this passion with focus and excellence, maintaining a high GPA while gaining hands-on experience as a certified EMT. Each patient encounter has reinforced his commitment to emergency medicine, sharpening his ability to respond quickly, think clearly and act with empathy. Inspired by his grandfather’s resilience and determination, Daniel is excited for the future, saying “in 10 years, I see myself as an emergency physician, providing care in critical moments and serving communities with resilience and compassion. A scientist at heart, he even approaches coffee brewing with curiosity and precision, treating variables like water minerality and grind size as experiments. For Daniel, this balance of rigor and curiosity defines both his academic journey and his vision for medicine: to serve with skill, compassion and an unwavering drive to make a difference.
