Kavish sees engineering management as a way to bring order to complexity, turning challenges into opportunities through thoughtful, data-driven solutions. His journey began in India as a continuous improvement engineer, where he discovered how small, strategic changes could spark meaningful efficiency gains. That insight inspired him to pursue his master’s in engineering management at Cal Poly Pomona, blending technical analysis with leadership and strategy. Today, he works as a global logistics intern at Corteva Agriscience, building a Power BI dashboard to reduce seed waste and automating shipment tracking with APIs. On campus, he serves as a process specialist for Associated Students, Inc., leading digital transformation projects, and he contributes to the Autonomous Vehicles Lab by developing Python algorithms for vehicle routing optimization. His research also includes mapping electric vehicle charger distribution in Los Angeles County to inform sustainable infrastructure planning. Guided by his father’s persistence as a small business owner, Kavish believes “even the smallest improvements can create lasting impact,” and hopes to lead global supply chain innovation that advances efficiency and also uplifts people and communities.
