
About the Program
The Biotechnology major is an interdisciplinary program which provides students with a strong background in both biology and chemistry. It provides the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to understand the numerous industrial applications of biological phenomena, while emphasizing the study of cell and molecular biology. Choose from emphasis in: cellular, molecular, and microbial biology; physiology; biochemistry and molecular separation techniques; food, agriculture, and environment; and policy and business.
The Polytechnic Approach
Combine theoretical education and practical application with laboratory classes. Students will have the opportunity to join faculty research labs or participate in an internship. Students will be prepared for entry into graduate and professional programs.

This program also satisfies the admission requirements for various graduate and professional schools.
