California Mathematics Project at Cal Poly Pomona (CMP@六色网)

Welcome to CMP@六色网!

NOTE: The CMP@六色网 site is currently inactive for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The California Mathematics Project at Cal Poly Pomona is one of nearly 20 regional sites of the , itself a subset of the . As described in the California Mathematics Project Mission Statement, “The California Mathematics Project (CMP) is a K-16 network dedicated to providing students a rich, rigorous, and coherent mathematics curriculum taught by competent and confident mathematics teachers who foster ALL students’ proficiency in mathematics—achieving equity in quality. CMP enhances teachers’ mathematical content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge that is aligned to the California Mathematics Standards and Framework. ALL teachers and students become competent mathematical thinkers as they investigate, conjecture, and justify.”

Our site focuses on providing professional development opportunities to K-12 mathematics teachers in our geographic region, including Pomona, Ontario-Montclair, Chino, Upland… all the way to Palm Springs! Our monthly workshops have focused on the ways in which we can incorporate cultural and linguistic relevance for students, the interweaving of social justice topics into mathematics, and more general equitable teaching practices for mathematics. We also make sure we help teachers experience the fun of mathematics learning through Math Teacher Circles.
