Accessibility is Equal Access for Everyone

CSU policy ensures “that individuals with disabilities shall have equal access to and the opportunity to participate in CSU programs, activities and services," and states that campuses must "make electronic and information technology accessible to all students, employees and the general public, including those individuals with disabilities.”

The University's Commitment to Accessibility

Cal Poly Pomona has a long-standing commitment to make its programs, services, and activities accessible to the university community. Cal Poly Pomona embraces this commitment in all areas, including information technology, and strives to become 100% accessible in its digital environment, which includes websites, web applications, and online content.

The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) reflects the California State University's (CSU) and Cal Poly Pomona's (ɫ) continuing commitment to provide access to information resources and technologies to individuals with disabilities.

The Accessible Technology Initiative is:

  • Vision: Create a culture of access for an inclusive learning and working environment.
  • Mission: Help CSU campuses implement by developing guidelines, implementation strategies, tools and resources.
  • Principle: Apply universal design, an approach to the design of products and services to be usable by the greatest number of people including individuals with disabilities.
  • Strategy: Stimulate collaboration to effect changes that benefit everyone.
