CAPS Workshops
About CAPS Workshops
All of our mental health workshops are led by licensed mental health professionals with various areas of expertise. Counseling and Psychological Services workshops are held in-person and virtually. Students must be currently enrolled at Cal Poly Pomona to attend our workshops. Registration is required. Please see below for more information on our workshops.
Mental Health Workshops
In our skill-focused workshops, students can learn coping strategies for a variety of presenting concerns, such as stress, motivation, negative emotions, and communication difficulties. Workshops are not therapy, and participants are not required to disclose information regarding their personal problems. However, participants are encouraged to ask questions and participate in discussion during the workshop.
Counseling and Psychological Services cannot guarantee confidentiality in our workshops. However, we request that all attendees maintain privacy of any information shared during the workshop. All material shared by the facilitator may not be copied, redistributed, nor published without permission. Audio and/or visual recording of workshops is strictly prohibited.
Counseling and Psychological Services offers both in-person and virtual workshops to meet the various needs of students. Space is limited for in-person workshops; there is no limit to the number of participants for our virtual workshops.
To promote the safety and health of students and staff, please do not attend in-person events if you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or are under quarantine or isolation orders.
Student can register on under "Groups and Workshops" menu option prior to attending. Workshops held at the Care Center (between 5:00 p.m. thru 7:00 p.m.) do not require pre-registration.
