David Singelyn (’84, computer information systems and accounting), co-founder and chief executive officer of , a Las Vegas-based real estate investment trust, sponsored a group of students to attend the Arizona Rental Home Council (AZRHC) luncheon and networking event in Scottsdale in October.
The students joined finance, real estate, and law (FRL) Professors Anthony Orlando and Gerd Welke, CBA Dean’s Advisory Council members Pete de Best (’96, FRL) and Jeff Cox (’08, international business and marketing), and other professionals for discussions about current trends in the single-family rental home and build-to-rent markets.
Management and human resources student Nate Poremba said, "The event was a powerhouse of ideas, trends, and strategies shaping the future of real estate. I am grateful for the connections made, the knowledge gained, and the inspiration drawn from each conversation. I am excited to use these insights to fuel new possibilities in real estate."
FRL student Lucas Abaro also shared his enthusiasm about the experience on his LinkedIn, saying, "The event proved to be a treasure trove of insights into the diverse challenges and innovative solutions within the single-family rental landscape. Engaging with industry experts and leaders opened my eyes to the dynamic nature of this sector."
