Dr. Sandeep Krishnamurthy, the Singelyn Family Dean of the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona, has been appointed as the Dean’s Representative to the 2025–26 Beta Alpha Psi International Board of Directors.
Beta Alpha Psi is a prestigious international honor organization dedicated to recognizing and promoting academic and professional excellence among students and professionals in the fields of accounting, finance and information systems. With more than 300 chapters globally and over 300,000 members initiated since its founding in 1919, the organization plays a critical role in developing future business leaders through scholarship, ethical leadership and service.
The local Iota Chi chapter at Cal Poly Pomona, established in 2000, embodies this mission by offering students opportunities to grow through academic recognition, community service and professional networking.
Krishnamurthy, who joined Cal Poly Pomona as dean in 2021, brings a deep commitment to educational innovation, student success and industry engagement. He previously served as founding dean at the University of Washington Bothell’s School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in marketing and economics from the University of Arizona, an MBA-equivalent from XLRI, India, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
“BAP is more than an honor society — it is a global force for excellence, leadership and service among students in accounting, finance and analytics,” Krishnamurthy said. “I’m inspired by its mission and the transformative impact it continues to have on future business leaders.”
Krishnamurthy expressed gratitude for the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of former board representative Dean Sridhar Sundaram and pledged to support Beta Alpha Psi’s ongoing evolution.
