International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) welcomed over 2,000 deans, associate deans, chancellors, and presidents from around the world. This year’s theme was Leading Beyond Boundaries and featured discussion panels on topics including generative AI (GenAI).
As an internationally-recognized leader in the application of AI to business education, Cal Poly Pomona’s Singelyn Family Dean, Sandeep Krishnamurthy, had the rare opportunity to launch the inaugural AI report from AACSB, “Building Future-Ready Business Schools with Generative AI,” during the conference.
In his remarks, Krishnamurthy shared how Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Business Administration is leading on incorporating AI across the business curriculum.
“We see generative AI as a significant change in how we learn and educate. This year started with an AI Faculty Symposium. Our faculty members have embraced the urgent need to innovate and our first graduate courses in AI will launch this summer. As we speak, our students are participating in a generative AI hackathon where industry mentors from a Fortune 500 partner are guiding them on how to leverage AI for a better future. We are all trying out Microsoft Copilot, and we are starting to see how this can power up our productivity,” said Krishnamurthy.
The new report distills insights from months of environmental scanning and rich discussions led by AACSB’s Innovation Committee, alongside other visionary thinkers. It delves into the strategic pathways business schools can navigate to sustain their value creation in the GenAI era.
