What We Do
Our Mission
The mission of the Equity-Focused Leadership Collaborative (ELC) is to approach issues of educational inequity through the lens of humanizing practices by engaging in inquiry, dialogue, and research. As we bridge connections between research and practice to address problems of practice, we aim to take asset-based and culturally relevant approaches to collaborative solutions to advance social justice in education.
We believe in illuminating the assets of diversity toward advancing understanding of key intentional practices and processes of educational leaders in meeting identified needs and furthering student success. We explicitly center anti-racist, de-colonial, and liberatory praxis as necessary to foster educational equity and recognize the vital role of educational leadership in the processes of reflection, inquiry, and actions for quality learning experiences for all.
