Credential to Master's Program
Cal Poly Pomona’s Master of Arts in Education is rated among the Nation’s top programs by Money Magazinebased on affordability, employment outcomes, and typical graduate earnings. The Master’s program offers credential students the opportunity to pursue both their teaching credential and Master of Arts in Education. Credential students must contact their advisor for the Education Specialist option or their advisor for the Curriculum & Instruction option. They should provide their advisor with their current, unofficial transcript and their credential program plan so their advisor can write up a customized roadmap. Contact Ms. Rebecca Briseno for more information on which options they qualify for.
Teacher-credential candidates may transfer up to three approved post-baccalaureate teacher-credential (EDU) courses towards the master’s degree. Interested students should contact Ms. Rebecca Briseno, Graduate Analyst in the CEIS Graduate Studies Office (Bldg. 94-320), to obtain and submit a Change of Degree form usually prior to the start of Clinical Practice.
The posting of the master’s degree is contingent upon the completion and recommendation of the credential program, unless a waiver has been approved by the CEIS Graduate Studies Coordinator and the Education Department Chair.
