Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
AED Program

AED
Sudden cardiac arrest can strike anyone, anytime, anywhere—including on the Cal Poly Pomona campus. In such emergencies, every second counts, and quick access to an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) can mean the difference between life and death. The Campus AED Safety Program is designed to ensure that these lifesaving devices are readily available, properly maintained, and supported by trained individuals across the campus community. By raising awareness, enhancing accessibility, and promoting training in AED use, the Office of Environmental Health and Safety aims to create a safer environment where immediate response to cardiac emergencies is both possible and effective.
