- Health Plan Rates for most health plans will have a significant increase. Please ensure to review the for the new monthly premium for your specific health plan.
- Caremark (CVS) will replace OptumRx as the new pharmacy for the following CalPERS Health Plans:
- Anthem Blue Cross Traditional HMO & Select HMO
- Health Net Salud y Mas
- Blue Shield PERS Gold PPO & PERS Platinum PPO
- United Health Care Alliance HMO & Harmony HMO
- Blue Shield Trio HMO & Access+ HMO, & Kaiser are NOT impacted by the pharmacy change.
- Members will receive a welcome kit from CVS that includes ID cards as well as information to access Caremark and the CVS Health app. This will be used for all prescription services starting January 1, 2026.
- ARAG is enhancing its services to address legal and caregiving needs for your parents and grandparents.
- The new monthly cost for this voluntary plan is $17.70 per month.

- The new monthly maximum for HCRA will change from $266.66 to $275 with the annual maximum being $3,300.
- The new monthly maximum for DCRA will change from $416.66 to $625 with the annual maximum being $7,500.
- An admin fee of $1.00 per plan called “CSU BEN FEE” will be charged on your pay warrant for either FSA plan, HCRA or DCRA.
- If an employee is participating in both HCRA and DCRA, the plan admin fee will be $2.00.

- An affordable way to make up the difference between what your medical insurance covers and what you’d owe out-of-pocket if you or a family member were to be diagnosed with a covered critical illness.
- As this is a voluntary plan, enrollment is available during Open Enrollment only.
- Health Maintenance Screening Benefit –
- Currently, eligible participants receive $100 per eligible screening, with a maximum of two screenings per calendar year.
- NEW – Beginning in 2026, this benefit will be updated to provide $200 for a single eligible screening per year.
