Dr. John Morton received his Ph.D. in Management from the University of California, Irvine and a B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Using an experiential approach, Dr. Morton prepares his students for success in our increasingly dynamic business environment. He primarily teaches courses in Human Resources Management and emphasizes the practical applications of course content. His research focuses primarily on the areas of diversity management, lower skilled workers, workplace mistreatment, and leadership perceptions, with the goal of improving organizations for all employees. Dr. Morton has published his research in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, including Human Resource Management Review, Group and Organization Management, and Organization Management Journal. Prior to joining Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. Morton completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the College of Business at Colorado State University.
