About Me

Lee-Anne Milburn, Ph.D.,  is a full professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture. She has a Bachelor's degree (honors) in Fine Arts (University of Manitoba), Master's in Landscape Architecture (University of Guelph), and a Ph.D. in Rural Studies: Environmental Design and Rural Development (University of Guelph). I'm licensed as a Landscape Architect in the State of North Carolina.

She has taught in institutions throughout the United States, among them Mississippi State University, North Carolina State University, and University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Dr. Milburn holds the Carpenter Medal for National Excellence in Teaching. In the past, she has won both a Canadian (CSLA) and an American (ASLA) Research Award, and with her students won an ASLA Community Service Award.

Her passions are sustainability (especially water and air quality) and therapeutic design (design for health).
