Bio

Dr. Aytug is a Professor of Management and Leadership, and a business consultant at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, who brings 25 years of experience leading diverse business, research, and service initiatives. Following her corporate career in Human Resources, she transitioned into academic world to help develop managers and leaders for a world that is changing at an unprecedented speed —technologically, socially, and environmentally.

With a focus on AI-driven technologies and sustainability, Dr. Aytug studies and teaches conflict management, impactful leadership, and multicultural communication, creativity, and negotiation skills. Dr. Aytug’s scholarly work has been presented at leading conferences such as the Academy of Management, International Association of Conflict Management, Decision Sciences Institute, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Her research has appeared in respected journals including Organizational Research Methods, International Journal of Conflict Management, International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Thunderbird International Business Review. Her collaborative work on bicultural negotiators earned the Emerald Literati Network Award for Excellence and was highlighted in the Psychology Progress series.

Recognized as a dedicated educator, Dr. Aytug is a two-time recipient of the CBA’s Management & Human Resources Faculty of the Year Award and a two-time nominee for the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Most recently, in November 2024, she was honored with the Decision Sciences Institute’s Outstanding Achievement Award for her collaborative work on a high-impact experiential project designed for the digital era
