Hosting a Micro-Internship

Micro-Internships support students, engage alumni, and provide a new way for employers to connect with your students. Through short-term, paid, and professional experiences, Micro-Internships allow organizations to identify and attract students and recent grads from all backgrounds. These opportunities can fit into any student’s schedule and provide a pathway towards a longer-term role.

 

How It Works

Learn how to integrate Micro-Internships into your curriculum.

STEP 1

Fill out a micro-internship Interest form

STEP 2

Schedule an appointment with our Micro-Internship team.

STEP 3

Initiate Bronco SERV partnership (only if your partner is not yet registered on Bronco SERV)

STEP 4

Partner creates a Parker Dewey Account.

STEP 5

Collaborate with your partner in creating a Micro-Internship project.

STEP 6

Share the Micro-Internship opportunity to students in your course.

STEP 7

Students will create a Parker Dewey Student Account and Apply for Micro-Internship opportunity!

Fall 2025 Micro-Internship Registration is Now Open!

We’re excited to invite faculty and staff to participate in our Fall 2025 Micro-Internship Program! If you have a project that could benefit from student involvement, we encourage you to apply.

Space is limited, and projects will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so early submissions are highly recommended. The deadline to submit your application using our is Monday, June 30, 2025.

They can take place year-round, typically require 10 to 40 hours of work by the student, and are due within a few days to a few weeks.

Unlike traditional internships that are tied to the academic calendar, Micro-Internships can be used year-round to provide on-demand support for short-term projects (usually requiring a total of 10-40 hours of work). They can be performed remotely and require minimal oversight and commitment. Micro-Internships are utilized across industries and roles, as a precursor or alternative to traditional internships, and as skills-based hiring auditions.

A. Micro-Internships are comparable to those assignments typically given to new hires or summer interns — things like conducting market research, performing financial analysis, and assisting in lead generation. Companies partner with us to provide services across a variety of departments, industries, and organization sizes.

A. Micro-Internships can be either on-site or virtual, depending on the specific requirements of the project. 

A. Micro-Internships are not meant to replace traditional internship programs but rather complement and even supplement them. Due to their short-term nature, Micro-Internships can be used year-round to find on-demand project support while simultaneously allowing you to engage and evaluate potential talent.
