Statement of Purpose:
Bronco Scholar is the institutional repository of the Cal Poly Pomona University Library. Bronco ScholarWorks is intended to provide persistent and reliable access to scholarly and creative outputs of Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff, and students and is an initiative of the University Library. The digital content housed in this repository is accessible, durable, and permanent. It is intended to support instruction, research, scholarship, and creative activities of those associated with Cal Poly Pomona.

This collection development policy serves as a framework for future decisions regarding the Bronco ScholarWorks collection. This document should be flexible and allow for the inclusion of collection types and items that enhance the instruction, research, scholarship, and creative activities of Cal Poly Pomona faculty, staff, and students. The University Library is receptive to potential opportunities for growth of Bronco ScholarWorks in the form of additional content types or collections.
Bronco ScholarWorks will provide increased access to materials generated by the Cal Poly Pomona community by facilitating the sharing of research, documents, and educational materials for interested parties while also creating opportunities for exposure for both student and faculty researchers. By making these materials accessible online, Bronco ScholarWorks will also offer a means of increased visibility to those who choose to deposit works.
