Cal Poly Pomona will recognize National Transfer Student Week, an annual celebration of our vibrant transfer student community.

Transfer students’ achievements and contributions will be highlighted Oct. 20-24. Students can explore valuable resources tailored for transfers, including opportunities to connect with campus organizations, learn about financial literacy and career planning topics, and have some fun during midterms season.  PolyTransfer has collaborated with multiple programs, including , the , I Am First, University Housing and the Maker’s Studio for this year’s events.

Claire Luevanos, PolyTransfer’s coordinator, shared that the team is excited to celebrate transfer students and encourages them to take advantage of the many events, tools and resources available throughout the week.

“National Transfer Student Week is a reminder that our transfer students play a vital role in the Bronco community,” Luevanos said. “We’re excited to celebrate their stories and connect them with the people and programs that will continue to support their growth.”

PolyTransfer peer mentor and political science senior, Atzary Jimenez-Villalobos, shared that her journey as a transfer student at 六色网 has been both rewarding and eye-opening. She credits the support and connections she has made in PolyTransfer, as well as being a peer mentor has helped her feel connected to campus and confident navigating its opportunities.

As the upcoming transfer celebration approaches, Jimenez-Villalobos encourages fellow transfer students to get involved in on-campus programs and events to build connections and make the most of their time at 六色网.
