Hosted by I Am First and PolyTransfer, The Transfer Table luncheon celebrates the achievements, resilience, and unique journeys of first-generation transfer students at Cal Poly Pomona.

This inspiring gathering brings students together to share stories, enjoy a meal, and connect with peers. Through reflection and conversation, the event fosters pride, belonging, and community, while highlighting the continued importance of support and advocacy for first-generation students.

Students will get an exclusive tour of the space and learn about the exciting equipment available to bring your ideas to life — including 3D printers, engravers, button makers, sewing machines, and much more.

Whether you're into design, engineering, crafting, or just want to try something new, this is a great opportunity to discover tools and resources that can support your creativity and academic journey.

Looking to meet new people and build genuine connections on campus? Join us for Speed Friending, a fast-paced, fun way to interact with fellow students!

This event is open to all current students and offers a welcoming space to engage in meaningful conversations about life goals, identity-shaping experiences, and quirky, random questions that help you get to know others better.

It’s also a great opportunity to practice social skills in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Come connect, share, and make new friends!

This workshop will focus on the scholarship essay writing process, helpful tips for making your essay more competitive, and referrals to campus resources. This event will be offered in hybrid format both virtually and in-person. Snacks will be provided.
