Faculty & Staff Awards

Distinguished Research Award

The Ralph W. Ames Distinguished Research Award honors outstanding faculty research in the College of Science. At the award presentation, usually in the fall, award recipients make a presentation on their research to the campus community.

Distinguished Teaching Award

In 1999, the College of Science launched its Distinguished Teaching Award program. Designed to recognize and reward teaching excellence in the College of Science, the award also serves as a medium through which honorees share their pedagogical approaches and enthusiasm for the educational process with their peers.

Staff Awards

The College of Science acknowledges up to two exemplary staff members every semester with an award and luncheon. The nominating process is open to faculty, and staff who submit nominations based on five different categories. The categories are job performance, successful interaction and/or relationships, college/university-wide service, noteworthy accomplishments that advance the goals of the College of Science.
