TELL US HOW YOU CAME TO WORK AT 六色网.
I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Cal Poly Pomona. Upon graduation, I accepted a lecturer position at the university with the intention of pursuing a teaching career. However, a former colleague encouraged me to apply for my current role as a microbiologist, which I ultimately accepted later that year.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
My primary duties are instructional support of our biology laboratories and cellular molecular biology stockroom. I provide the biological cultures to our instructional laboratories, like bacteria, viruses, cell culture, fungi, etc.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
What I enjoy most about my job is collaborating with our incredible students, staff, and faculty. We have a fantastic team in the Biological Sciences department that makes coming to work enjoyable.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING?
In my free time, you'll often find me tending to my garden or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW.
My partner and I run a small business, Abundant Roots Farm, where we specialize in homegrown organic pork. We also offer organically raised chicken, fresh eggs, and a variety of organically grown produce.
