About Our Mentorship Program

In the I AM FIRST mentoring program, 六色网 first-generation college students are matched with a faculty or staff member who also identifies as a first-generation college graduate. The shared experiences of being first-generation foster a sense of belonging and create a pathway to success for 六色网 students.

The Mentor's Impact

Mentors help students transition into Cal Poly Pomona while guiding them in academic and career planning. They make a meaningful impact by connecting students to the university and shaping future leaders through support and encouragement.

Mentee Benefits

Mentees gain one-on-one mentoring, building lasting relationships with faculty and staff. They receive specialized support and resources to help them succeed academically and personally.
