Dr. Ericsson Marin

Dr. Marin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at 六色网, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). As the director of CALSys Lab, Dr. Marin leads a team of researchers who explore proactive cyber-threat intelligence. Lab Manager

Wesley Kwan

Wesley Kwan is a Computer Science Ph.D. student at Arizona State University. A former Computer Science student at Cal Poly Pomona, he assisted Dr. Marin in deploying the DarkMiner system and building DMDb. While pursuing his Ph.D., he continues to coordinate cyber-threat intelligence (CTI) research projects at the CALSys Lab. Apurva Sista is a Computer Science undergraduate student at Penn State. Her research at CALSys Lab focuses on designing and building a cyberinfrastructure that scrapes malicious hacking data from the darkweb for the production of cyber-threat intelligence models. She is also involved on CAPTCHA solvers, image analyzers, and vendor authorship analysis.

Lynn K. Takahashi

Lynn is a former Cal Poly Pomona Computer Science student. Her research at CALSys Lab focuses on designing and building a cyberinfrastructure that scrapes malicious hacking data from the darkweb for the production of cyber-threat intelligence models. She is also involved on CAPTCHA solvers, image analyzers, and vendor authorship analysis.

 

Minh Khoi Tran

Khoi is an undergraduate student studying Computer Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona. His research at CALSys Lab focuses on designing and building a cyberinfrastructure that scrapes malicious hacking data from the darkweb for the production of cyber-threat intelligence models. He is also involved with the implementation of recommender systems able to automatically detect criminal hacking sites.

Jason is an undergraduate student studying Computer Science at Cal Poly Pomona. His research at CALSys Lab focuses on designing and building models to anticipate viral malicious cascades on darkweb forums.

Nathan Pham

Nathan is a former Cal Poly Pomona Computer Science student. CALSys Lab is currently accepting graduate and undergraduate students to conduct the proposed research. For Fall 2025, all paid positions have been already flled, but volunteers are still welcome.
