Connecting with your Program Coordinator
Graduate Coordinators regularly provide academic advising,oversee academic standards, and assist students.They areresponsible for monitoring program quality. They approvestudent programs and petitions, schedule courses,coordinate faculty assignments, and review curriculum.Below is a directory of graduate coordinators you maycontact if you have specific questions about your careerpath and how a Master's program may support yourprofessional goals and/or if you need to schedule anadvising appointment. You may also contact thedepartment so that you can be referred to the appropriateadvisor.

Inquire in your department about the availability of graduate assistantships & research positions- graduate assistants work from 5 to 20 hours a week, assisting professors in laboratory classes or as graders in large classes. Advanced graduate students may serve as instructors in some lower division lectures.
The CSU Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program and the California Pre-Doctoral Program both aim to support students pursuing doctoral degrees and future faculty roles within the CSU system. The Doctoral
Incentive Program provides loans to doctoral students, which are forgiven over five years of full-time CSU faculty service, while the Pre-Doctoral Program offers up to $5,000 for graduate school preparation and opportunities such as summer research internships.
