October 2025 (Domestic Violence Awareness Month)


Every Tuesday in October, wear purple to show your support for survivors and help raise awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Join the movement and stand in solidarity—together, we can make a difference! #PurpleTuesdays

Swing by and grab a free Bomb Pop and add your voice to our board by writing how you plan to “blow out” domestic violence. Join the “Put a Nail in It” movement by painting your ring fingernail purple — a simple way to spark conversations and show support. Come hang out, cool off with a treat, and stand together to help end Domestic Violence!

You’ll have the chance to tie-dye your own bandana, make posters, and share your ideas on how to “put a hole” in domestic violence by adding a purple sticky note to our community easel. Get creative, enjoy some yummy free donuts, and show your support for ending Domestic Violence.

Help us build a powerful campus mural piece by piece! Add a message to our collective mural showing our community’s commitment to ending domestic violence. Pick up free DVAM-themed swag from Survivor Advocacy Services, Office of Equity and Compliance, and Center Community Engagement.

Join us for an evening dedicated to Domestic Violence Awareness with interactive activities, food, entertainment, DJ Billy the Bronco, prizes, and a guest speaker. The first 25 registrants who attend will receive goodie bags, and all participants will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win special prizes at the end of the night—don’t miss out!

April 2025 (Sexual Assault Awareness Month)


Survivor Advocacy Services & Office of Equity and Compliance invites you to Sexual Assault Awareness Month. On Teal Tuesdays, we encourage everyone to wear teal to bring awareness to sexual assault & violence prevention.

Learn how to protect yourself and fight back against sexual violence.

Space is limited for the free class led by a certified BRIC Kickboxing instructor

Create your own denim button and wear denim with a purpose. Denim Day is an international event that raises awareness about sexual assault.

This international observance aims to end sexual violence through support, healing and education. We will meet outside the library for a solidarity walk and conclude at Bronco Commons with a student performance and rally.
