Undergraduate Returning Students
Restarting Your Journey
Welcome back!
By visiting the Returning Student website, you have taken the first step towards completing your degree. Take your time to review the website and your status as returning student. Please note, those who have earned their bachelor's degree at ÁùÉ«Íø and wish to pursue a graduate program here are not considered returning students. For information about graduate programs, reach out to a graduate coordinator. Please know that this is only an initial step in your return to ÁùÉ«Íø and is not a guarantee of readmission to the University.

Returning Student: Good standing (ÁùÉ«Íø GPA above 2.0)
Returning Students who left in good academic standing, with their ÁùÉ«Íø and overall GPA at a 2.0 or above, are eligible to reapply to the university. Those returning to the same major they left will need to fill out the Returning Student Interest Form (this form is only available to those who have been away from ÁùÉ«Íø for 5 years or less). Those wanting to return but take a different major will need to submit a Cal State Apply application to the university by the returning student deadline. Readmission isn't guaranteed and is at the discretion of the new department. Once your application has been submitted, we will send you a notification by email to acknowledge receipt of your application. We will notify you via email of your readmission decision and/or if any documents are needed. As a returning applicant, this is only an initial step in your return to ÁùÉ«Íø and is not a guarantee of readmission to the University.

Returning Student: Not in Good Standing (ÁùÉ«Íø GPA below 2.0)
Returning Students who left in negative standing, meaning that their ÁùÉ«Íø and/or overall GPA was below a 2.0, need to fill out our Returning Student Interest Form. They will also need to meet with an advisor from their department and/or the Bronco Advising Center to explore strategies for increasing ÁùÉ«Íø GPA to be eligible for readmission. As a returning applicant, this is only an initial step in your return to ÁùÉ«Íø and is not a guarantee of readmission to the University.

Returning Transfer: Good standing (ÁùÉ«Íø GPA above 2.0)
Students are considered returning transfers if they have left their ÁùÉ«Íø degree program in good academic standing and/or attempted units at another college/university after attending ÁùÉ«Íø. Whether they are applying to the same or different major, returning transfers must apply via Cal State Apply. If attempting to return to a different major, readmission isn't guaranteed and is at the discretion of the new department. Please note that returning Transfer Students are held to the same eligibility requirements (Golden Four, 60 transferable units, required or recommended supplemental coursework for impacted majors, etc.), application procedures, and deadlines as new transfer students. They are also given 'local preference' for admission consideration. Please refer to the Transfer Requirements webpage for more details. As a returning transfer applicant, this is only an initial step in your return to ÁùÉ«Íø and is not a guarantee of readmission to the University.
