Professor Olive Li was selected for the 2025 Distinguished Achievement Award by the Southern California Section of Institute of Food Technologists (SCIFTS).
The annual award recognizes an individual who has provided continuing and meritorious service to the food science and technology industry, particularly in the Southwest United States.
Li was nominated by her peers and selected for the award for her dedication and service to SCIFTS, the Institute of Food Technologists national organization, the food industry and its related business.
She has more than 25 years' experience in the field and joined the Department of Nutrition & Food Science in 2011.
SCIFTS will honor Li at its May 21 meeting at the Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach.
