Event Audio
Our event audio services provide professional speakers and microphones to help you host your event on campus. We can assist you in making sure your voice is heard by large audiences, integrate computer or phone audio, and we can set up at almost any location on campus.
Important Information
- Please note that MediaVision will need access to the event location both before and after the event to set up and break down equipment.
- After the equipment is delivered to your event, you'll be responsible for the audio system until we return to collect the equipment. The MediaVision staff will ensure everything is clear with you prior to the event.
Audio Recording
Take advantage of our professional sound booth and high-end microphones to capture very high-quality audio. These deliverables can be integrated into visual presentations, saved as a podcast, or uploaded into your Canvas course. Our sound technicians work with you to help you record quality sound files in our sound-proof booth.
Best Practices
- If you have a script, bring two copies to the recording session.
- If you make a mistake during the recording, pause, say the word “again”, and repeat the sentence.
- If recording audio for slides, say the slide number prior to reading the slide script.
Ready to request our audio services?
- We recommend submitting requests 2 weeks in advance to help ensure support.
- We only support areas where there is no built in audio PA systems.
- Many event spaces already have existing audio systems (E.g. BSC, University Theatre, SSB MPR, etc.).
