Captioning

Need to get your content captioned?

  • We recommend submitting requests 5 days in advance to help ensure support

  • MediaVision provides captioning at no cost to any content we produce that is used as part of course materials.

  • MediaVision works with the Disability Resource Center (DRC) to provide captioning at no cost for course materials where students have an accommodation need.

  • For all other content we provide the syncing of captioning at no cost; however, we are unable to generate a transcript of your event.

    • If you do not have a transcript then there is a $99/hour ($1.65/min) charge for transcription as we send this out to a third-party company.

    • If you provide us with a transcript of the event we can provide the captions at no charge.

  • We can only provide captions for the following formats:

    • Online content hosted by the university (e.g. streaming.cpp.edu)

    • Public YouTube and Vimeo content through Amara.org
