Honor Societies
Recognizing Excellence
Are you a student in the Huntley College of Agriculture? Are you excelling academically? Then you may receive an invitation to join honor societies.
Here are some of the honor societies that may extend invitations:
Gamma Sigma Delta is a national honor society in agriculture. Membership is by nomination. The honor society accepts students from all majors in the Huntley College of Agriculture.
Phi Upsilon Omicron is an honor society in the integrated field of family and consumer sciences. Prospective members must meet grade point average requirements and be nominated to join. The honor society is open to students in the following majors:
- Foods and Nutrition
- Food Science and Technology
- Apparel Merchandising and Management
Golden Key is the world's largest collegiate honor society for graduate and undergraduate students. Membership is by invitation only and applies to the top 15 percent of college and university sophomores, juniors, and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study. If you have not received a membership invitation, you can submit a form on the Golden Key website to determine your eligibility.
