Think of this office as your campus GPS for navigating conflict. We help you discuss issues — big or small — confidentially, informally and without judgment. We do not take sides, make decisions or report anything to anyone (with rare exceptions). We just help you find your way.


The Ombuds Office is your confidential, off-the-record space for talking things through one-on-one. It is informal, impartial and focused on helping you figure out your next steps, without judgment or pressure.

The Conflict Resolution Services (CRS) Office offers broader support — like training, group facilitation, team-building and systems-level work. CRS helps improve how conflict is handled across campus.


Students, faculty, staff and students employed by the university are welcome. If you are part of the ÁùÉ«Íø community and something is bothering you, our office is here for you.


Anytime you are feeling stuck, confused or concerned about a situation — big or small. Maybe there’s tension with a colleague, fellow student or class instructor, a tough conversation coming up, or you just need a neutral place to think things through. When in doubt, reach out.


Just about anything — miscommunication, work tension, grading disputes, group project drama, difficult conversations or even "is-this-even-a-problem" type situations. Please describe the problem in your so we can prepare to best assist you in navigating possible solutions.


Not at all. We are happy to discuss everyday tensions, prepare you for tough conversations or simply help you sort out your thoughts.


Conversations with the Ombuds and Office staff are confidential to the greatest extent possible under federal and state law and applicable CSU Policies and Regulations. However, the Office cannot keep confidential information that suggests imminent risk of harm to individuals or public safety, child abuse and neglect, or incidents of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, dating or domestic violence, and stalking.

Each of these offices serves a unique purpose for the ÁùÉ«Íø community:

  • Ombuds: Informal, confidential, impartial. We explore options, not enforce outcomes.
  • HR: Manages employment policies and formal workplace procedures.
  • Title IX: Handles reports and investigations of sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Union Reps: Support their members, file grievances, and advocate for fair treatment.
