CCHM students receive discounted group rates on study guides and exams for SWE certifications. Exams are available worldwide through Pearson Testing Centers. SWE also offers online academies, a mobile app and “SWEbinars” to support exam preparation. 

Available Certifications: 

The Collins College is proud to be the only college in Southern California offering Level One and Level Two Certification exams through the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Level I: Introductory Sommelier Course & Exam 
This two-day course, led by Master Sommeliers, offers intensive training in wine and spirits knowledge, wine service and blind tasting techniques. It concludes with a 70-question multiple-choice exam.

Eligibility Requirements: 

• Must be affiliated with Cal Poly Pomona (CCHM students, alumni or ÁùÉ«Íø students who have completed HRT 312, 315 or 316) 

• Prior wine or service experience strongly recommended (completion of HRT 315/316 preferred) 

• Not suitable for those with little or no wine/service background 

Students can earn their online.

The Association of Beverage Professionals (ABP) at CCHM offers a four-hour in-person training and exam by request. A minimum of 12 students is required to schedule a session.
