Amy Bayer
Director of Business Development, Avendra International
Amy Bayer has been involved in hospitality procurement since graduating from San Diego State University's L. Robert Payne School of Hospitality & Tourism Management in 2008. Following several hotel internships throughout college at Marriott and Evans Hotels, Amy began her professional career immediately after graduation at BuyEfficient, an Orange County-based eCommerce platform for hotel operators. After serving on the BuyEfficient team for 7 years, the company was acquired by Avendra International in 2015. Over the past decade, Amy has continued to advance her career at Avendra International who is now owned by Aramark.
Upon entering the group purchasing space in 2008, Amy quickly recognized the critical need for a procurement partner to help hoteliers reduce costs and streamline operations during a very turbulent economy. She started in a customer service role and rapidly progressed through positions in marketing, eProcurement sales, and ultimately, as Director of Business Development, selling the entire Avendra International offering nationwide. Amy is the longest-tenured associate on Avendra International’s sales team, having signed over 1,550 hotels to date. She’s instrumental in educating new associates and a key liaison between Avendra International’s account management, marketing, and sourcing teams. Avendra International remains the leading group purchasing organization in the hospitality industry, and Amy is thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and successful company.
Outside of her professional role, Amy enjoys participating in local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation events and the Let’s Be Kind Organization at Orange County schools. She resides in Costa Mesa with her family.
